About Aaron

Peofessional Racquetball / Paddleball Instructor

Aaron Emabry GearBoxI started playing Racquetball in 1975 and it was love from the very first shot. Literally the first time I hit a ball I thought “This is the greatest thing in the world!” This simple act started me on a lifetime journey of involvement in the sport of Racquetball. With hard work and coaching I worked my way up to competing full time on the Men’s Professional Racquetball Tour and have won several National titles.

Besides being an avid player, I sincerely love to teach the sport, and have been coaching for over 25 years. I have a Level III “Professional” Certification from AmPRO, the American Professional Racquetball Organization which is the certifying body for Racquetball Instructors. My teaching background comes from years of playing, competing, and working with great coaches. I have been blessed to have had the opportunity to work with the best instructors of the game. Charlie Brumfield, 4 time National Racquetball Champion and 4 time National Paddleball Champion, Steve Strandemo, widely recognized as the father of racquetball instruction, and Jim Carson, renowned coach of Lynn Adams, a 6 time National Champion.

Over my many years of playing and instruction I have developed a unique teaching style. My philosophy comes from the belief that the proper racquetball swing should be effortless and smooth, allowing all parts of the body to work in unison, resulting in a swing that does not cause pain or discomfort. This technique allows me great success, even with people who have been or are currently injured. The end result is increased power, accuracy and control with less effort and stress on the body. This provides the student more satisfaction and enjoyment from the sport of Racquetball.

Through my coaching and instruction, my students benefit from all my mistakes and successes, saving them years of time and heartache.
